Effective Recruiters - Wiltshire
In Scouting we're passionate about what we do and we all know it would be great to offer this amazing journey to as many young people as possible. To provide a varied and exciting quality programme we are always looking for more volunteers- but where are they?
Who is the event for?
This is a get together for County, District and Group members from across Wiltshire who would like to learn more about Adult Recruitment in Scouting.
Particularly, those volunteers who have an eye on planning and targeting recruitment for their Group/District/County such as at public events or supporting parents to get involved, but anyone who is interested is welcome.
What will the event cover?
A member of the Regional Services Team will facilitate sessions to particularly look at:
-Understanding where volunteers come from and why people volunteer for Scouting
-A recruitment conversation (opening a conversation, overcoming barriers to volunteering, the 'ask' and sealing the deal)
-What happens next? (why do people leave and how can we turn a 'yes' into successful volunteering)
